Our family friendly site has a lovely space for outdoor games such as ball games, giant jenga and noughts and crosses – and all the Gers are designed to face the play area, so parents and carers have the chance to watch and relax whilst their children play. With picnic tables, free-range wildlife areas, an orchard to discover and alpacas grazing in the next field – there’s plenty for children to explore.
Meet our Alpacas
Our Alpacas just love meeting the guests! These animals – looking for all the world like giant cuddly teddy bears when their fleeces are long – are well-known for their relaxing nature and the therapeutic effect they have on humans. Spending time with these animals is memorable, and every alpaca, has its own distinct character to connect with.
If you enjoy being at one with nature you’ll be right at home. We have a wide variety of different habitats on the farm and we are home to a diverse range of wildlife. By the river we have a wildlife habitat area where different grasses and flowers grow naturally, and we’ve installed a bug hotel, hedgehog house, and several bird nesting boxes. In the summer you can spot Swallows and Buzzards soaring overhead, while the Goshawks which nest in the nearby Brechfa Forest are with us all year round. And from the glamping field we have beautiful views of the Afon (river) Pib which meanders along the bottom of the field and is often visited by a Grey Heron.
The Practical Stuff
We see hot showers and lovely loos as de rigeur – so there’s plenty of both – carefully designed and located within the site. In our brand new facilities block we have hot showers, flush toilets, and a wash up area including a microwave, fridge, freezer and kettle. We also have two waterless toilets situated nearer the Gers.
Waste and Recycling
Our waste and recycling bins are located to the left of the facilities block. Each bin is clearly labelled with details of what materials go in each.
Water taps / stand points
A 2 litre water carrier is provided for you in your Ger. There are lots of places where you can fill up the water carrier including the communal area in the facilities building and also the two stand points near the Gers (we will show you where these are when you arrive).
Our parking area is located next to the facilities block – just a short walk away from the Gers – and there’s plenty of trollies on hand to transport your bags the short distance to your Ger.
Coming with your bike? We’ve got a bike lock up in our communal facilities block so you can lock up and relax after a day in the saddle. If your bike is muddy we also have a bike wash down area.
